Who is eligible to join?
Anyone who loves gorgeous wool flannels. The Wool Club is great for rug hookers and quilters who enjoy wool appliqué.
What will I receive?
4 selections of wool which have been washed. Each piece measures 7-8 inches by 18 inches before washing. Great for stash-building! Wonderful to be able to see new woolens before they sell out.
How often will I receive my wool?
Wool club selections will go out every couple of months, no less than 4 times a year and no more than 6 times a year.
Will the wool be suitable for hooking fine cuts?The 18 inch length will be cut along the selvedge edge but most of the woolens will be textures. Some may be great for 4 or 5 cuts but many will be more suitable for 6+ cuts.
Will the wool be suitable for wool appliqué? All of the woolens will be perfect for wool appliqué.
Can the wool be over dyed?You will be receiving 100% wool from reputable sources. These are not blends and you would over dye as you would any other woolen.However, many of these woolens you will love just as they are so you can give your dye pot a rest!
How much does it cost? $12 for the wool and shipping + HST (or applicable GST for provinces outside of NB, NS, NFLD and ONT)$14.50 for the wool and shipping for US members (click here to purchase)
Advantages of being a Wool Club Member:If after receiving your mailing you would like to purchase more wool you will receive a 20% discount from the regular price. This is only valid for one month from the time of mailing. The end date for this discount will be included in your mailing.Wool club selections will not be offered for sale in the shop, at a hook-in or event, or posted on www.rivergallery.ca until 3 days after the mailing has occurred so you will be the first to see these new woolens!Customers west of Ontario will have their wool club selections sent 2 days earlier than the rest of Canada so everyone will be receiving their selections at approximately the same time.There will be at least one “Wool Club Members Only” Event during the year where you will be able to achieve additional savings.
The fine print
You must provide a valid credit card number, along with all of your mailing information, phone number and email address if applicable. For your own protection do not send this information in an email; you need to call the shop at 1-877-468-9004 or locally 468-9004. Alternatively you could provide 6 personal cheques from a Canadian banking institution made out to the River Gallery, with the total amount filled in and we will date the cheque when the wool selection is sent out.You can cancel at any time before a wool selection is sent out. However you may not return a selection because you do not like the wool. Every attempt will be made to vary the wool selections in terms of colour, texture and value throughout the year.You will continue to receive wool club selections until you notify the River Gallery that you are no longer interested in being a member.You cannot combine a wool club mailing with another order. The cost of the wool club selection has been predetermined based on shipping weight. We cannot add anything else to the envelope.
 The June 2009 Bali Club Selections included 5 of the fabrics in the Timeless Treasures Neutral Collection Shadowbox Quilt by Cheryl Malkowski. Bali Club members also received a 20% discount if they wanted the quilt kit. |

What will I receive?
Each mailing will contain 5 pieces of fabric; each measuring approximately 18 x 22 inches as this is the size that the envelope can accommodate. These will be coordinated collections that have just been released and may not even be available in all stores yet. Occasionally, there will be opportunities for tremendous savings on discontinued collections.
